The full Eu-SPRI conference Programme, with details of the timing of all open track and special sessions, is ready and has been uploaded to this site. We do not expect the overall session structure or timing to change but minor changes may continue to be made in the run up to the event so please check back to this page for the latest version.

We’d particularly like to draw your attention to the following:

  • The conference will start with a reception at the historic John Rylands Library in central Manchester on the evening of June, 17th. Please inform us if you will be attending when you register for the conference.
  • The academic programme of the conference will start at 9.00 on the 18th of June.
  • The conference dinner at the Old Trafford football stadium will be on the evening of the 18th.
  • The conference will close at 14.00 on Friday June, 20th.
  • We will be arranging an optional group visit (not included in conference fee) to the Large Hadron Collider exhibition at the Museum of Science and Industry on Friday afternoon, after the close of the conference. If you wish to join the group you will need to sign up at the registration desk by the conference close on Wednesday 18th.

 

Programme update history

Updated: 13th June 2014. Some minor corrections, paper title changes and paper changes to Session 8.b and 9.b on “Understanding innovation systems”. Also, we have included ‘add to calendar’ links in the PDF so that you can add the times and location of any session into an Outlook, Google or other calendar (if you are online at the time). Finally, we have added a separate PDF e-book of all accepted abstracts/extended abstracts.

Updated: 10th June 2014. Some minor changes (typos corrected) and one or two paper changes. Major change: Sessions 1.a on Wednesday (“Science in the policy process”) and Session 7.c on Thursday (“Transitions and trajectories”) change places.

Updated: 9th June 2014. Various minor changes to sessions including room changes to reflect withdrawals. Major changes are: Old sessions 2.b and 4.b are merged into a new session 3.c on “innovation policy and governance issues”. Old session 3.c on “Evaluating and incentivising research” moves to the earlier (1400) slot on the same day to become session 2.c.

Updated: 4th June 2014 to reflect withdrawals and some session changes. One major change: Session 1.c on Wednesday and 8.c on Friday have swapped places.
